One helpful reader emailed me and suggested that perhaps it was a Mutsy stroller, which does come in some
goldish colors at least in Europe. Man, it makes me jealous to think of all the stroller colors (or should I say "colours") that might be available across the pond.Alas, I really think this stroller had a gold frame not just gold fabric. However, thanks for the suggestion! Anyway, I had fun skimming all the beautiful Mutsy colors...even the ones not available in the US.

Hi! I'm hoping you can help me. As I think I said before I'm looking for a stroller for my cousin that is due in FEB with Baby #2. Baby #1 is now 3 therefore I was looking for alts to a double stroller and have found through my network that the rider board attachment is a HUGE hit with toddlers and parents both! The people that I spoke with on this subject all have the Bugaboo which unfortunately does not fit into my budget. I need a stroller that is compatible w car seat and has the option to add the rider board - Would love your help!!! Thx!
Hi Nina. I would recommend a sit and stand stroller aka a tandem stroller. Joovy's Caboose Ultralight Stroller is a nice option. It comes with a universal car sear adapter for your friend's new baby so your friend has plenty of options for which car seat to use(Baby #2 can use the seat once he/she is 6 months). This stroller has a built in platform on the back for toddlers to stand on (ages 2 1/2 and up) as well as a padded seat on the back for when the toddler wants to sit down and take a rest! The Ultralight has a sporty look and costs about $270.
Peg Perego's Pliko P3 Stroller is also car seat compatible for an infant (but only with Peg's Primo Viaggio car seat) and comes with a built in footboard for older children. However, the footboard isn't as spacious as the one on the Joovy and there is no option for the toddler to sit down. Of course, the Joovy weighs in at 27 lbs while the Peg only weighs 17! So the Pliko P3 is a better choice if your friend thinks that Baby #1 will only need the footboard once in a while. This stroller is about $340.
Finally, if you want something a little sleaker and more high end, you could go with an Uppa Baby Vista Stroller. I put Uppa Baby in the same class as Bugaboo and the two share a similar aesthetic. Like the Cameleon, you can purchase a Piggyback footboard for your Vista stroller. Just keep in mind that the Vista costs $670 and the footboard costs another $90 on top of that. But the Vista comes with a bassinet for Baby #2 to use until he/she is old enough to use the seat. Plus the total cost of the Vista+footboard is still almost $220 less than the Cameleon+footboard.
