And the Cosmo Travel System Goes to...

I'm very happy to announce that the winner of the Combi Cosmo Travel System is...

*AB*!!!!!

Congrats, AB! Here she is in a photo from her blog The 'Danger'ous Life of Anna B. (Anna B is her daughter).
And here is an absolutely adorable pic of Anna looking extra dangerous in her Easter dress:
Anna was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in February but she is doing well so far! (And no, that's not why she won the contest. I use a randomization program to pick the winner.)

I hope that winning this giveaway is just the beginning of many magical moments in Anna's life! You can get better acquainted with Anna and her family by reading AB's blog. Maybe if we're lucky, AB will treat us to a pic of Anna in her brand new stroller once it arrives!

Thanks again to everyone who participated. I'll do my best to bring you another stroller giveaway very soon! In the meantime, you can find great deals at Strollers.com. Much thanks to Strollers.com and Combi for making this giveaway possible!

Reminder: Four Hours Left to Enter the Cosmo Giveaway!

I couldn't resist posting one final reminder that there are just four hours left before I shut down the comments on my Combi Cosmo Travel System Giveaway post.

That means there are four hours left in which you could enter yourself or spread the word to a friend.

It's like those bra commercials or the pizza ones except instead of 18 hours or half an hour you've got four.

(Just Remember: entries only count if you leave them in the comments for the original post.)

Now if only I could figure out how to run a bra and pizza giveaway next...Or maybe a pizza-scented bra giveaway. I'm sure guys would love that, right?

What's that? You think that's not only gross but a little crazy, on top of the fact that pizza and bras have nothing to do with strollers??? Well, you are right. But it's Friday and I'm hanging on by a thread here, people.

Anyway,I'll see what I can do about some sort of pizza-stroller-bra giveaway. In the meantime, this fabulous Combi contest will have to do.

Micralite Makes a Name for Itself in the States

The British Invasion continues this week because I want to introduce you to another (cue British accent) brilliant stroller from the UK: the Micralite Toro. Micralite is well known in the UK but not as well known here in the States.

Yet.

If you dream of being the mom on the block with the mysterious, stylish stroller that none of the other mom's recognize, this could be the one for you!

Micralite has a vaguely Bugaboo sort of look to it thanks to its ergonomic design and aluminum frame but there's something distinctly different about it. One feature that sets it apart is its wheels. The Micralite has two larger, air-filled tires in the back and two smaller tires in the front. This may look unusual, but it makes the stroller very easy to manuever. This stroller is also--as the name suggests--very lightweight, which makes it a great option for urban parents who might have to lug it up and down the stairs to their apartment(something that's not so easily accomplished with a Bugaboo). A uniquely easy one-handed fold makes this stroller even more attractive to city-dwellers who might need to sqeeze into an elevator and jump in a taxi at a moment's notice.

There are two options for making the stroller usable from birth. Micralite has added a Newborn Carrycot, which snaps right into the Toro frame. You can use the Carrycot until your baby reaches 20 lbs and then switch to the stroller seat, which will accomodate your child up to 40 lbs. If purchasing the Carrycot seems uneccessary, just get the car seat adaptor, which works with either Graco or Maxi-Cosi car seats.

Ciaran at Celebrity Baby Blog recently shared her thoughts on the Toro. She reports that celebrities like Halle Berry, Trista Sutter, and Amy Poehler all have Micralite Toros. This stroller may still be a relative unknown on this side of the pond...but not for long.

Find out more about Micralite at Strollers.com.

Everyone's Buzzing About This Stroller

I know what you're thinking...but I'm talking about the Buzz Stroller by Quinny! And I'm not the only one. MomFarah gushed about it on MomFinds.com and CelebrityBabyBlog reported that Rachel Weisz and Heidi Klum are just a couple of celebrities already in love with this stroller.

The Quinny Buzz has a fresh, modern look and comes in some really fun colors. It also has great value compared to its competitors. It includes a canopy, shopping basket, bug net, wind stoppers, a rain shield, and adapters for use with the Maxi-Cosi Mico Infant Car Seat. Consider investing in the Dreami Stroller Bassinet for a complete pram system or the Mico Infant Car Seat from Maxi-Cosi for a complete travel system. Seriously, you have to check out this car seat. It actually rivals Peg Perego for cutest car seat design. Oh, and in case you were wondering, there's an adorable footmuff available, too. And you know how I feel about footmuffs!

With revolutionary gas spring technology, this all-terrain stroller unfolds itself automatically. Think about how handy that is the next time you're juggling baby, diaper bag, and groceries! The seat is forward or rear facing and made of stain resistant, durable nylon fabric. The foam seat even has Scotchguard protection.

Check out those three wheels! The stroller is easy to move around and has a lockable front swivel wheel. Plus the handle has five positions to accomodate all parents heights. It's comfortable for baby too: the reclining seat has two positions as well as a two position adjustable foot and leg rest. I love how simple and streamlined this stroller appears and yet it's jam packed with all the amenities parent and baby could want!

Check out the Quinny Buzz Collection as well as the incredibly compact Quinny umbrella stroller the Zapp at Strollers.com!
