Inglesina's 2009 Zippy Stroller Gets a Color Update

Inglesina has unveiled their 2009 strollers and I really like the colors for the 2009 Zippy. I think they look fresh and stylish--much more eye-catching than the 2008 colors.

The 2009 colors are Biscotto (preppy tan and yellow), Papavero (crisp cream and red), Inkiostro (chic black), Cioccolato (boyish brown and blue), and Blu Notte (timeless Navy blue). You have to admit, the Italian names do add a certain something. Even without the Italian, I'm loving these colors. Biscotto (shown) is my favorite (you know I love yellow) but I also really like Papavero and Blu Notte. It's always good to have options, especially several that are gender neutral, which I like.

For those of you not familiar with the Zippy, it's a great stroller that can be used from infancy until your baby reaches 45 lbs. There's an optional bassinet and it works with either the Graco or Compass infant car seats. Plus, this stroller can be opened or closed with just one hand--and since you barely ever have both hands free that is an awesome feature.

The 2009 Inglesina strollers: Zippy, Trip, Swift and--oh, yes--the Classica Pram will be available at Strollers.com on Monday! Make sure you check out the new colors and let me know what you think!

Welcome to the haven for the stroller obsessed! There's always room for one more here, especially when you and I share a mutual love for the Silver Cross Balmoral Pram!

We have the Classica pram and stroller seat in "marina" (navy blue) We used it for our son, we now have a baby girl. My husband insists we can not use it for her because it is blue. I disagree, since it isn't baby blue, plus the navy blue color is a classic. My opinion isn't enough to change his mind. Who is "right"?

I completely agree with you, VIP2000. Personally I think navy blue works for both genders. Anyway, I thought we'd all moved past the allthingsmustbeblueforboys and allthingsmustbepinkforgirls phase.

Although, now that I think about it, if your husband is willing to shell out all that $$ for a new stroller just to get a different color...well, who am I to stand in his way?? ; )

PS VIP2000: You could always look for a girly stroller blanket to balance out the blue stroller with a more "feminine" color or print. That's much cheaper than buying a whole new stroller!
